Thank You From Code Pink Fitness Boot Camp!

Code Pink Boot Camp is about to finish out its third year! Code 10 is our final session of this year, which will begin on November 29th and finish just before Christmas on December 24th.

Congratulations and THANK YOU to all who have played a part in these thrilling three years! From the very begining it was my goal to create a fitness program that was fun and comfortable for women, yet challenging enough to see and feel amazing results. We began in Orange County, CA and quickly expanded into the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, then last year we found ourselves in the Denver region and last month opened a little camp in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

I am happy to say hundreds of women, each year have found success with Code Pink Boot Camp. Some began camp to just lose a few extra pounds, but stayed because they found a sense of group camaradarie with new boot camp friends and decided to stay for reasons beyond their expectations.

Our trainers are some of the finest! They sincerly care about their campers and take the time to encourage, motivate and educate their campers! We are saying good-bye to Christian, Danielle and Gabby this year. We wish them great success in their new endevours and will miss them greatly!

Christian's camp in Laguna Beach is now being taught by Anna Shaw. We are very excited to have the bright energy Anna brings! Those of you in the Laguna Beach area, please come and enjoy a camp with Anna! Gabby will be grabbing her Kettlbells and making her new way! Good luck Gabby, we hope to have you back to sub when you can! We look forward to welcoming Debby Dowling into coaching the San Clemente and Dana Point camps. Debby comes to us from the Chicago area and with a wealth of experience and education. We are excited to welcome her, and welcome all the campers into her camp! With great sadness comes the good-bye to Danielle White. Danielle was one of our first Code Pink Boot Camp trainers and always led a fun and energetic camp. I know she has many fans! She has taught early morning in RSM, mid-morning in Ladera/MV, and evening in Irvine. We wish Danielle happiness in her new ventures. In January, I will be taking over Danielle's camps. I am excited to be teaching these camps until the perfect new trainer is found and trained to take over. So, I would be thrilled to have you in my camp! I don't teach much anymore, so this will be a great treat for me (and you I hope)!

I invite you to invite your friends to our final boot camp of 2010, which marks the finish of our 3rd year. Please pass on this gift code SAVE25. You may use it, or your friend may use it to register for Code 10 and save $25.00.

As you think ahead into the new year and imagine how the year will unfold, go ahead and imagine your hot little body by the pool this summer!

Imagination is the start! Taking action is the next step. For as little as $159 every 5 weeks, you can attend Code Pink Boot Camp all year long! This is for the 3x a week camp which will be on auto-debit. You are welcome to mix and match the locations and times as need be. If there is a camp time and/or location we do not offer, let us know you would like it and we will do our best to make it available! We can help you obtain where your imagination takes you! Now is the time to take action!

All registrations are now open at www.codepinkbootcamp.com Remember, those who register now for Code 10 can save $25 with the SAVE25 Gift Code. Please pass that on to your friends!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Week! Congratulations to those that just finished the Pre-Turkey Week! You get to eat more!! LOL!

In Health and Happiness,
Warmest Regards,

Christina Lucy

What is an Antioxidant?

What is an Antioxidant?

According to the National Cancer Institute "antioxidants are substances that may protect cells from the damage caused by unstable molecules known as free radicals. Examples of antioxidants include beta-carotene, lycopene, vitamins C and E, and other substances. Many of these antioxidant substances come from fruits and vegetables."

Fruits and vegetables contain a powerful array of antioxidants that offer protection for our bodies. Beta-carotene is found in many fruits and vegetables that are orange in color, including carrots, Some green leafy vegetables such as spinach and kale are also rich in beta-carotene.

•Lutein, best known for its association with healthy eyes, is abundant in green, leafy vegetables such as spinach and kale.

•Lycopene is a potent antioxidant found in abundance in tomatoes.

•Vitamin C is found in many fruits and vegetables such as apples, oranges, pineapple, acerola cherries, papaya, carrots, parsley, kale, broccoli, cabbage, spinach, and tomatoes.

•Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant found in green leafy vegetables such as spinach and broccoli.

Health Tips For The Thanksgiving Day Turkey

Tips For The Thanksgiving Day Turkey

If you're hosting a small gathering, buy a turkey breast rather than the whole bird, as breast meat is lower in calories than dark meat. If you do buy a whole turkey, avoid "self-basting" turkeys, as they often contain added fat. And--it goes without saying--stay away from the deep fryer this year, and roast or smoke the turkey.Stuff the turkey cavity with whole or halved onions, halved lemons or apples, and sprigs of fresh herbs such as sage, marjoram, thyme, and/or rosemary.Rather than rubbing the skin with butter or oil, spray it with an oil spray and season it with salt and pepper.

BOOT CAMP TRAINER IN THE SPOTLIGHT!

BOOT CAMPER IN THE SPOTLIGHT!

Megan Howell –
Megan joined Code Pink Boot Camp in Dec 2009 with the goal of getting back into shape post breast cancer treatment for her wedding in July. With working many, many hours and planning the perfect wedding, she still made her fitness goals a priority and was at camp at 5:30 am pushing herself to her full potential. She has made amazing strength gains since she started almost a year ago! She went from not being able to do a lot of the basic exercises due to surgeries, to using 8 lb dumbbells because the 5 lb’s got to easy for her. I am so proud of her accomplishments and she is such a joy to have in camp everyday! She is very determined and motivated and I am looking forward to watching her achieve many more goals in the near future!
